A POLICE officer patrolling saw a man on the floor being punched and kicked by another male.
Blackburn magistrates heard Luke Stephen Bentham ran off but was arrested in a nearby alley in Great Harwood.
But the ‘victim’ also left the scene and was never traced by the police.
Bentham, 19, of Cliffe Street, Rishton, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. He was fined £150 with £105 costs.
Angela Rossi, defending, said the two men were friends and the incident had come at the end of a drunken night out.
“They had a row and the other man grabbed my client round the neck which started the fight,” said Miss Rossi.
