A HOST of appointments are due to be made at Burnley Council’s annual meeting next week.
With Labour’s Coun Julie Cooper having announced her resignation as council leader in April, deputy leader, Coun Mark Townsend, is expected to take over the top role.
Other portfolio positions to be decided include deputy leader and executive member for resources and performance management, executive member for regeneration and economic development, and executive member for housing and environment, among others.
