New service times
NEW times for services have been announced following the retirement of Rev Alan Sowerbutts from two churches in the Ribble Valley.
Rev Sowerbutts was in charge of St John’s, Read, and St Peter’s, Simonstone, in 1998.
In future, at 9.30am there will be Holy Communion with hymns on alternative weeks between the two churches. On the first Sunday of every month, it will be at Simonstone, with the second Sunday at Read.
There will also be an 11am service and a 6.30pm evensong.
