New trail is launched

The town’s civic society recently published the latest version which features historical facts about the Ribble Valley market town.

The update is the fourth version of the trail which was first published in 1976.

The trail is largely confined to the history of the town from 1100 to 1800 and takes around an hour to complete.

The guide also is complete with a map, historical and present-day pictures of the town and includes a section dedicated to the future of Clitheroe.

Copies are available free of charge at the Clitheroe Visitor Information Centre and from Clitheroe Library.
