YOUNG artists are being encouraged to get into the spirit of one of the spookiest times of the year in Burnley and Pendle.
Bosses at Colne Market have launched a Scary Pendle Picture Competition for local under 10s.
Organisers are asking for Hallowe’en themed artwork – and junior artists could take Pendle’s witches as an inspiration.
Entries on A4 paper with the child’s name, age, parent or guardian’s name and an e-mail address or phone number on the rear of the picture, must be lodged with the market manager’s office by Wednesday, October 30.
