STUDENTS from Accrington & Rossendale College were given a behind-the-scenes tour at a major manufacturers.
Floor covering students from Accross were given a close look at a commercial carpet manufacturer’s on a recent visit to Heckmondwike FB’s premises in Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
The group saw the full process from mixing the fibres through a suction process to witnessing the needle punching process before seeing the products cut to size and bagged up in readiness for shipment. Heckmondwike FB also supports the college through donation of materials where students familiarise themselves with their products and train towards installing them to industry standards in their state of the art workshop.
