WINTER bowling is to be made available in Accrington.
Hyndburn parks department has made a bowling green available due to the amount of interest it has received received.
Parks officers have put aside a green at Milnshaw Park for winter use and renovation work will take place on summer greens.
Anyone who wishes to play will need to apply for a winter bowls pass from the parks service based at Willows Lane Depot by ringing the Sports Pitch booking line on 01254 356 265, or via email at pitchbookings@hyndburnbc.gov.uk .
As with summer bowling, the winter bowls passes are also free of charge, as part of Hyndburn Council’s Active People Initiative.
