Festive jobseekers are being given a boost as Marks & Spencer launches a major Christmas recruitment drive.
The high street giant is hiring 11,000 temporary staff to help meet demand across its stores during the busy festive season.
Roles include customer assistants in M&S Food, Fashion, Home, and Beauty, with some stores also advertising overnight positions supporting deliveries and shelf preparation.
11,000 temporary jobs announced by M&S
Thinus Keeve, retail director at M&S, said: "Our brilliant store colleagues play such an important part in delivering the magic of M&S at Christmas, and we're looking forward to welcoming 11,000 new colleagues to teams this year.
"Christmas is busy, fast-moving and a really exciting time to join M&S.
"We'll give new colleagues the training, tools and support they need to get up to speed quickly.
"What matters most is bringing energy, curiosity and a real commitment to doing the right thing for our customers and working as part of the team."

M&S says recruits will receive full training to help them settle into their roles quickly.
Applications are now open and can be made through the M&S Christmas careers website.
Sainsbury’s and Argos recently announced plans to take on 17,500 temporary staff, while the John Lewis Partnership is creating 10,400 Christmas roles, including 6,000 at Waitrose and 2,600 at John Lewis stores.
The rest of the positions will be based in distribution and supply chain operations.
Some seasonal roles may lead to permanent employment, but candidates are advised to check individual job listings for details on contract length and long-term opportunities.
