Yesterday evening (Saturday, October 3), the celebrity stars of Strictly Come Dancing took to the dancefloor for a second week.
For Movie Week, all of the celebrities and their professional dance partners took on a film to create their dance routines.
After the show, the public vote was opened with the two couples with the least amount of votes having to go head-to-head in the dance-off tonight (Sunday, October 4).
But who did the judges choose to save and which couple left the show first?
The first couple leaving Strictly Come Dancing 2026
Chris Appleton has become the first contestant to leave the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The celebrity hair stylist, 43, was paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden, 36, but their performances over the first two weeks failed to win over the judges.
Their exit followed a movie week dance-off against actress Jaime Winstone and her partner Carlos Gu.
Chris and Amy performed a cha cha to I’ll Be Ready from Baywatch, while Jamie and Carlos danced the same style to Oh, Pretty Woman from Pretty Woman.
Judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke unanimously chose to save Jamie and Carlos.
Motsi and Anton both noted that Chris had shown a "huge improvement" from the first week.
Anton said: "The performance was another level, and the dancing will keep improving if you keep at it."

Judges' scores from both weeks were combined with the public vote to determine the bottom two couples.
Chris said he was determined not to let his dance partner down.
He said: "I did not want to let Amy down. I am really trying but also really enjoying it."
In week one, the pair performed a tango and earned a score of 16 from the judges.
Their movie week cha cha cha earned them a score of 17.
Amy also became the first to leave the competition last year, when she was partnered with The Apprentice contestant and businessman Thomas Skinner.
Throughout his career, Chris has worked with high-profile celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Sofia Vergara, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry.
The first results show of the season featured a The Devil Wears Prada-themed routine by the Strictly Professionals, as well as a performance from Matilda The Musical.
Four young actors who play Matilda sang Quiet alongside composer Tim Minchin.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One.
