A popular supermarket brand is bringing back a nostalgic selection box shoppers might remember.

M&S is diving back into its archives with the return of its Big Six selection box more than 70 years after it first appeared on shelves in the 1950s.

The launch comes after M&S brought back four retro chocolate bars from the 1980s earlier this year.

M&S’ Big Six biscuit selection box returns to shelves

The Big Six selection box is not an exact replica, as it has been filled with biscuits from M&S’ current range.

The selection box will include Milk Chocolate Fudge Creams, Milk Chocolate Sandwich Fingers, Jam Sandwich Creams, Outrageously Chocolatey Marbled Whirls, All Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies, and Outrageously Chocolatey Milk Chocolate Shortcakes.

The selection box has been designed using the retro St Michael-inspired yellow and red packaging.

The Big Six will cost £5 and will be in shops from October 30.

The selection box is also available to order on Ocado with the product description reading: “A Curated Selection of Our Most Loved Biscuits, Reintroducing Our Favourite Heritage Products.”

Retro chocolate bars available at M&S

The brand also released a range of retro chocolate bars that might remind you of some familiar favourites.

The Jet, Sparks, Now!, and Coconut Grove bars were brought back to shelves this year.

The Sparks bar features chewy nougat and soft caramel, while the Jet combines nougat with peanut and soft caramel.

The Now! has a biscuity caramel centre, and Coconut Grove has a smooth coconut filling.

The chocolate bars might remind you of Bounty, Twix, Mars, and Snickers bars.

The products are packaged in bold retro colours and playful graphics that fans of the brand will recognise.

A spokesperson for M&S said: “After the brilliant response to the return of Take 4 last year, we wanted to dig a little deeper into our archives and revisit more of the chocolate bars customers loved the first time around.

“With their original St Michael packaging designs and flavours inspired by the much-loved bars of the 80s, Jet, Sparks, Now! and Coconut Grove are a delicious nod to the past - giving some customers the chance to rediscover an old favourite and others the joy of trying them for the very first time.”
