A cinema chain is offering tickets to see films for less on weekends and during school holidays.
Showcase Cinemas has announced its new Family Favourites scheme that will offer tickets for £2.49 across a selection of much-loved family-friendly films.
The weekend cinema deal aims to bring young film fans and their families to the big screen.
Showcase Cinemas is running Family Favourites screenings every Saturday and Sunday at 10am nationwide.

The offer is also available during school holidays and features a selection of films at a discounted price.
The screenings feature films that have already delighted audiences of all ages.

What family-friendly films are coming to Showcase Cinemas?
Showcase Cinemas shared the two films that are in the lineup so far for this season.
Frozen will be available to watch on January 24 and 25, as well as January 31 and February 1.
You could also watch Sing, which Showcase Cinemas describes as “a colourful, music-filled celebration of finding your voice, packed with over 60 hit songs”. This is available to watch on February 7 and 8 and again on February 14 and 15.
Other family-friendly films that are currently showing for £2.49 are Zootropolis 2 and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.
The cinema chain regularly runs promotions to make watching films cheaper for customers, so keep an eye out for future offers via the website (linked above).

What is the cheapest day to watch films at Showcase Cinemas?
Insider members at Showcase Cinemas can get tickets for any film on Mondays for £4.99.
On Saver Mondays, without an Insider membership, you can expect to pay £7.99 to watch any film.
