Robert James Collier, Gaynor Faye and Jemima Rooper are set to star in a new drama from Channel 5 called The Inheritance, which follows three siblings left reeling by the unexpected death of their father.

A further shock then comes as the siblings discover they haven't been left anything in the will which leaves them to wonder if his death was a tragic accident after all?

Their investigation into this leads to many secrets being brought to light and whether they really knew their father at all.

Larry Lamb plays their father Dennis and the show also features the likes of Samantha Bond and Adil Ray.

The synopsis reads: "Three siblings are left reeling after the unexpected death of their father.

"Secrets are exploded, relationships ripped apart, and lives lost as they try desperately to claw back the inheritance that they have lost."

When will The Inheritance be on TV?

The first episode of The Inheritance will air at 9 pm on Channel 5 on Monday, September 4.

After that the remaining three episodes will air on the subsequent three Mondays.
