CAN Blackburn with Darwen Council would like to explain why schoolchildren are charged full price on the buses?
The first we knew was when my 14-year-old was told to pay full and handed a leaflet, nothing through the schools, no leaflets on the bus prior to the rule change.
A Buzzcard apparently is the answer; go to Waves with your completed form and money to obtain the photo card.
Guess what? Go to Waves and the camera isn't working.
So my children still have to pay full despite being in school uniform. £5.10 for my children to travel from the town centre in Blackburn to Lower Darwen, or as happened last week £4.50 for a taxi.
A ridiculous situation.
ALAN GREGORY, Lord's Crescent, Lower Darwen.
