Having gambled and lost that nothing will happen to whatever is insured, the insurance companies have been hit hard by gale-force wind damage – buildings damaged, trees falling on cars and buildings.
However, insurances companies can’t really lose.
They will pay out from the premium pool and simply replenish that, when later on in the year or next our insurance premiums will be increased.
Gamble?
Not on your life. They can’t lose, ever.
