NOW the disabled car park fee for the new Royal Blackburn Hospital has been axed I would like to congratulate all those disabled drivers etc, who complained about charging disabled people to park and those hospital bosses who saw sense and dumped the idea.
But I do hope bosses will now re-mark those 32 or 34 disabled car spaces that were painting out by mistake as soon as possible so there can be more disabled car spaces.
This new hospital is two hospitals in one (Queens Park and BRI) so there should be more car spaces for all (disabled and non-disabled).
This should have been sorted out at the time when the hospital bosses were planning the new super hospital not wait until it is open and realise there are not enough paces for disabled .
I do hope that this will be resolved quickly.
