I am writing following Coun Konrad Tapp’s letter about travellers in the Meadowhead area showing no respect for locals (LT, July 26).

I have to say that they reap what they sow.

They can protest about being discriminated against all they like, but they will never convince the majority to let them get on with their lifestyle while so many negative reports are heard.

I can’t say I have ever heard of a traveller doing anything that didn’t benefit only them and theirs.

All I ever hear about is damage, theft and cost incurred from litigation.

I wouldn’t even welcome my brother to stay if that was all he brought to the table.

So I’m sorry, but the travellers have no chance.

They have a long-dead lifestyle that has no place in modern England.
