The report that the Todmorden Curve could be reopened is good news for Burnley, but how does it affect Todmorden?
I ask because the town is not mentioned in the report (LT, July 2) and I fear that it will be ignored and that Todmorden station will be by-passed for a second time in recent years – the Burnley to Hebden Bridge train does not stop at Todmorden and I suspect the same will happen with the Todmorden Curve.
The Blackpool to Leeds train chugs all the way through the Todmorden valley from Cliviger Gorge to Hebden Bridge, but people from Todmorden going to Burnley or Blackburn have to back-track to Hebden Bridge to catch this service. S Nixon (Mrs), Hallroyd Crescent, Todmorden.
