With reference to the story (LT, June 24) on the large amount of rubbish in the play area near Ruthin Close, Blackburn, the question that should be asked is not ‘what are the council going to do about it’ but ‘who is responsible for it?’ Not local residents and their offsprings, surely!
The residents should do what the people of Oakdale and Fernhurst have had to do for nearly 14 years – stop whinging, get off your backsides and clean it up yourselves!
