AS manager of the British Heart Foundation shop in Blackburn, I am always grateful to the community for supporting us by purchasing items to help us raise vital funds to save lives locally. Unfortunately the number of items we are having donated to us is declining, possibly due to the current increase in items sold at car boots and via eBay. This has had an impact on our ability to raise funds and we’d like to appeal to the public.

I wish to appeal to local people to have a spring clear-out and donate unwanted items to the shop. For those unable to bring items in personally, we can arrange a free collection. To book, please call 01254 694624.

Everyone can help with clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac. We will open at Easter to organise collections.

Ruth Craig.
