It’s obvious Paul Smith (LT, April 14) and I will never agree about the use of PSCOs, so I will close with this: Just how much of a PSCO’s limited time would the paperwork take for just a single arrest?
A PSCO could not cope with the paperwork that powers would bring, and patrol.
I hope Mr Smith will now see the folly of empowering PSCOs.
Police officers, on full-time and with full powers, complain about the hours spent on paperwork following investigation and/or arrests. What chance a PSCO?
