‘Ghostly search in pub’ (LT, April 12) said the Castle Museum was ‘inappropriate’ for an event by ghost hunters.

I find any venue inappropriate for ghost hunters or any others intent on holding seances and using Ouija boards to conjure up the spirit world, whether for fun or more sinister motives.

As a Christian, I am entirely aware of the spiritual world around us and that evil forces are intent on luring in the foolish and the ignorant through any means.

The paranormal holds a fascination for many but the spirits being sought are not to be summoned and controlled for our amusement because they obey their master, Satan.

Their express purpose is to claim souls for the devil, and holding seances is to hold out a personal invitation for these demonic forces to enter your personal environment.
