I applaud the Icelandic government and people.
If I understand this right, they had a vote to see if the Icelandic people should bail out the failed bank, and voted no. Democracy!
It wasn’t the people of Iceland’s fault that the bank failed, so why should they pay?
If only we’d had a vote on our banking crisis, things would have been different. A little less arrogance?
