BECAUSE I was loaded with shopping to go into the boot of my car, I put my precious umbrella/walking stick on the roof of the car and forgot it.
Waiting at the traffic lights to go on to Barbara Castle Way, Blackburn, up came a young lady who knocked on the window and handed me my umbrella.
I didn't have the opportunity to say other than a hurried thank you because the lights changed and I was in a queue.
But I would like that lady to know how very much her kindness is appreciated and I hope that someone will tell her if she doesn't read this.
MRS IRENE BRADLEY, Priory Close, Blackburn.
