I can understand the dismay of Blackburn’s Masjid E Saliheen mosque chairman, Saleem Kapadi, if he genuinely thought they had received planning permission for a dome (LT, January 12).
But he, and his advisors, should be aware that it is not just a case of having sent in ‘all the paperwork’.
What is important is the paperwork which grants or does not grant permission – as Councillor Dorothy Walsh found some years ago over her conservatory.
Perhaps they will just have to accept the situation as she did.
