MY comments are addressed to Mr Peter Stobbs, the Burnley Council engineering manager, regarding the article (LT, January 1) about new spy cameras.
Burnley is in the top ten of the most run-down towns, with deprived areas like Burnley Wood, Stoops Estate, Griffin Close and Accrington Road.
I think the gentlemen is wasting taxpayers’ money on CCTV cameras that don’t benefit anybody.
