B WHITTAKER (Letters, Nov 5) remarks that as long as meat is clean and healthy, what difference does it make how it was killed?
To me and many others it makes all the difference.
Probably all slaughtering involves suffering but far less, surely, than a live animal lying bleeding to death and fully alert throughout.
