READING Mr D Pratt's letter (LT, July 21) made me smile when he talked about whale meat and spam.
A friend of mine emailed me and said something was a load of spam.
Not being used to the terminology of computers, at that time, I emailed back saying spam was specially packed American meat that came into this country during the Second World War.
I soon found out that spam pertaining to computers meant junk mail. Silly me.
