How can Hazel Harding, East Lancashire Hospitals Trust chairman, justify announcing that the trust will continue to have a part-time chief executive ‘for the foreseeable future’, without giving the reasons?
How many other hospital trusts in the United Kingdom have part- time chief executives?
Also, taking into account that the trust has not been able to achieve Foundation Trust status, is this decision purely a cost cutting decision?
