It’s good to see progress for faith schools at last. Islamiyah School, Blackburn, is doing a great job of educating young women from the Muslim community, as Ofsted noted in their last inspection report. Now one of their teachers has won ‘Muslim school teacher of the year’.
This is very encouraging and reflects the level of dedication of the head teacher and all the staff. You can’t be an excellent teacher without being part of a supportive team.
Well done, too, the AMS for providing this opportunity to celebrate success in Muslim schools.
This was only one of several awards made to Muslim schools across the country, many of whom are doing excellent work in preparing young Muslims for their place in society.
