WITH reference to the story (LT, April 30) regarding scrap metal thieves stealing signalling high voltage cables, this will cost half-a-million pounds for repairs and compensation as this is the third similar incident in a month.
I would have thought the police would have checked out all scrap metal dealers in Lancashire.
Employing a private security firm will be costly, won’t work and will increase train fares.
