I think it’s time for dear old Bruce Forsyth to put his dancing shoes away and finally call it a day.

He seems to be struggling at times to get laughs and, at 81, you simply don’t have the same ‘pulling power’ as you did when you were in your prime.

Over the years he has proved a very versatile performer doing more or less a variety of things, eg piano player, tap dancer and comedian, plus numerous game shows like The Generation Game and Play Your Cards Right. These were 25 years ago and now, in 2009, he is still performing.

Call it a day now and retire gracefully, because at times (and I hate to say this) you are now past it. Go now and enjoy a well- earned retirement.
