IN answer to John Raliegh’s question regarding the Bishop’s mitre on the Cathedral flag pole (Letters, October 10).
Bishops wear the mitre to remind Christians of the Holy Spirit alighting on the apostles’ heads when they were with the Holy Spirit. (Acts Chapter 2 V1).
When the day of Pentecost was fully come, There were all assembled in one place (V3) and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon them and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
