I AM writing after reading A J Marsden’s letter (LT, June 30) about penny arcade pre-1960. I well remember it, I lived in Regent Street then.
I went to see what the butler saw with my penny. On coming out one night to go home, a German plane came over, sirens went off, all went black, the Rialto cinema had people running out in panic,.
I got pushed into a lamp post, ended up with a busted nose and broken glasses.
Yes, I well remember it . I am 79.
