I WAS pleased to see the tribute to Garth Edwards in the Lancashire Telegraph on Monday, June 30.
He died in February, but he deserved more than a column on the family announcement page.
Garth was a unique artist, much of his work being engraving on glass – religious and historical figures and scenes.
I know of four churches in Blackburn with his designs on glass panels in doors, screens or windows.
There must be many more around East Lancashire.
He also engraved the glass on the doors of the old Halifax Building Society off Church Street. I wonder where they are now?
