IN reply to the idiot who wrote about pensioners. Did he write the letter whilst waiting for the post office to open to collect his social security?
How did he expect people to save for their old age when a war had just finished and there was no money to save?
The old age pension is meant to live off, as today's old people never earned enough to save.
There were no handouts like there are today.
It was all graft to rebuild a world wrecked by war, so the likes of the writer could have a cushy life.
