Would someone please, for heaven's sake, arrange the cleaning of the lion statue at the bottom of Montague Street. In my opinion it is the only piece of art worth looking at in the whole of Blackburn.
Whenever I pass by it lifts my spirits, and I am transported for a little while to a land of blue skies, sunshine, sparkling air and huge plains, the home of many wonderful wild animals.
Just for a little while, I am away from the damp grey climate and the depressing town of Blackburn. A few flower beds around it would not go amiss either.
