AFTER 12 years a French President's full state visit to Britain will have substantial positive impacts not only on these two nations, but on the Europe and USA.

Afghan war, nuclear power, immigration, security, economy, defence and so on, are the issues of entente cordiale.' People are expecting to observe some fruitful outcome on restoring global peace from this "cordial agreement" between these two super powers. This visit will be an excellent opportunity for Britain to simply talk.

I think it's about time Britain accepts Europe, Britain, France and Germany make for a very strong alliance.

Forget America, let's get back to Europe I say.

Chirac predicted with precise detail the diabolical aftermath of invading Iraq.

Blair lied about what Chirac said re the second resolution to justify abandoning the EU.

Chirac got Blair to give away our EU rebate for nothing, Chiraq made the French look dignified and intelligent. Blair made the Brits look dim and credulous.

As far as the present is concerned, Great Britain will only become closer to France when our government has the guts to distance us from the USA.

I am glad that he said that, his country would "never forget" what British people did to "free France" during the world wars.

Mr Sarkozy was very forward looking - as as pro-British as it must be possible for a Frenchman to get.

If he can sort out some of the French contributory factors to issues that are a problem to us, then I am sure his very positive words will be turned into something more than just cordial.
