RE: Whinney Hill Recycling and Waste disposal centre. Having lived in various parts of the country I have visited numerous waste disposal sites.
I hasten to add that it is not a hobby or occupation of mine, but a result of a wife's zealous annual spring clean along with the increased obligation to recycle!
Over the last few years my "local" disposal site has been Whinney Hill, where my wife and I remain amazed at how helpful, courteous and friendly the staff are.
In an era where some may suggest that "service with a smile" is on the decline, the ladies and gentlemen at this site are an example to the rest of us.
We are always quick to complain about public services, but I would like to take the opportunity to record our appreciation and thanks.
