RE, CHARITY shop struggling to keep up with demand after rebranding itself as £1 store.
It’s not the only one that has everything for a pound (Burnley Tia sells for £1 or less).
I’d say it is about time as I refuse to pay around £2 for Matalan t-shirts, George basics, etc that show obvious signs of wear.
These days I rarely get anything in charity shops. They’re either too dear or I can see a noticeable fault .
I do think a lot of charity shops are coming to an end and I really only support the independent ones like the Hospices.
Accrington used to be a good place to shop but the rare times I go there now, I continue to find it disappointing and surprisingly this particular charity shop will do well considering the prices of the rest there.
