WE do lots of walking with the "stepping out group" and also on our own.
There is so much overgrowth on the hedgerows on some of the gardens that we have to walk into the road.
If all the owners took as much trouble on the roadside of their hedges as the inside, life would be so much easier for all of us.
This also applies to the council-owned hedges which in places can be rather dangerous, especially the thorns which can give a very nasty scratch when it catches you in the face.
We have some wonderful walks, but in places it can be very frustrating when we have to side-step these obstacles. Please cut back your hedges to a decent width.
