MY opinion of the braid' sculpture in Blackburn town centre can be judged in one word: hideous!
It resembles an ornate chimney, but that's all.
True life artists and their sculptors would be astounded by the content of this so-called work of art.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder that's true, but this attempt at brightening up the town centre is at least, poor.
The money could have been better spent.
Most of us will wonder what it is supposed to represent.
Give me true life sculptures any time.
At least then we can compare the model against the original.
