THE suggestion of placing a mailbox in the Town Hall-Market area of Darwen is an excellent one (LT, April 7).
This would not take a great deal of the money allocated for Darwen town centre and would be a practical and helpful plan for Darwen people who, daily have to manoeuvre their way across that extremely busy road by the post office.
Three sets of traffic comes through - Bolton, Railway Road and Blackburn.
Motorists are frustrated and pedestrians play Russian roulette.
So, whoever is in command, how about that extra mailbox?
Don't wait for a fatality, please.
