IT'S no wonder staff sickness levels are so high at Blackburn and Burnley hospitals, with practically week by week changes being made to their job descriptions, salaries, where they will work, being moved to Blackburn from Burnley, having to apply for their own jobs.
Morale has never been so low.
With all these uncertainties it is no wonder that staff are off sick with stress.
If management considered their staff more, gave them the respect they deserve and have trained for, consulted them about job changes, involved them in decision making - who better than those actually doing the work involves - staff wouldn't be as likely to go off sick.
Bullying them is not the the answer.
