WHEN the idea of Trash the Trash came out in Blackburn with Darwen, I thought great, what a good idea and resolved to do my bit.
Hang on a minute, what are those bin bags doing in my back alley? Full of rubbish.
They had been left behind by binmen who won't take anything not in a wheelie bin.
In a day or two the contents will be scattered, as has happened frequently before.
In future, forget it.
Why should I pick up the odd bit of street litter when the council, in its wisdom, actually condones a hundred times more than I ever pick up.
From now on, as they say on TV, "I'm not bovvered" I'll just walk on by.
