ABOUT the lights at Sudell Cross and bridge at Freckleton Street car-free zones in Blackburn. All very nice. But people coming into Blackburn by any route do not notice these things. I will tell you what they do notice - second hand shops with their junk sprawled out on the pavements and these are growing all the time.
What is the environmental health officer doing about it? These places are eyesores and blots on the landscape.
These shopkeepers should be made to move their junk to the back of their premises and carry a card in the window to inform people where the junk is.
No amount of money will improve Blackburn until all the junk is removed.
