Can someone please tell me anywhere else in the United Kingdom, other than the House of Commons, you would get a very well paid job without references or a CV, diploma, or a degree and then get a fantastic rise before you prove your worth?

What is the criteria for people in parliament?

Do the different party leaders have their members in house once a year for performance checks? Do they make sure that they are doing the jobs that we elected them to do, making a difference to the towns that they are representing?

And if they are not doing a good job, can they be asked to step down?

Why isn’t there a table of excellence for MPs like there is for schools?

The MPs who proved they were worth the money could then get a rise in line with other people, and the MPs who did not perform well could get their rises frozen until they did.

I would also like to hear from all MPs about proposals to get another £7,000 a year added to your salary.

Will you still be able to claim for your utility bills, second homes, travel expenses etc, or instead, like the rest of us normal human beings, will you start paying your own way?
