THE law certainly is an ass. Liverpool footballer Kolo Toure has dodged a driving ban despite being clocked speeding twice in a short period of time.
His solicitor pleaded his case by saying he was too famous to use public transport.
She said, because he was so well known, he could be mobbed if on a bus or a train and that would be a health and safety issue, not only for him, but also the travelling members of the public.
Needless to say he admitted the offence and was awarded four points for each instead of the usual six. Had he got the normal 12 points he would have been banned.
