Many years ago I worked for about three weeks in Gateshead.
On walking to the local shops I could not believe the amount of dog dirt on the pavements.
I thought those days had long gone until I visited some friends who have just moved to Clitheroe.
On going for a walk along Primrose Road, Woone Lane and the streets going past Edisford School and towards the River Ribble, it was a case of scanning the pavement for the next pile of droppings.
If the rest of Clitheroe is as bad, you’ve beaten Gateshead by a country mile and must surely be the dog dirt capital of the north.
