MY wife has finally got me to splash out on a new suite.
After what seemed like months traipsing round stores within a radius of 20 miles, she finally found one.
It was delivered on March 20, a full two weeks before the promised date.
All we had to do now was to get rid of the old one.
A quick call to my local three-star, super-duper award-winning council, and magically it would be gone, so I thought.
Five working days is what I've heard, never having used the service before I'd no reason to doubt it.
To my disbelief I was told it would be four weeks before they could remove it.
I now have to store my old suite on my drive until April 16.
Is it any wonder that fly tipping goes on all over the borough.
If this is what passes for service, what exactly are we, the overtaxed, paying for.
