Penny-pinching will not cut it
RE, CHEERS: East Lancashire brewers raise a glass as chancellor George Osborne cuts beer duty A penny? When most pubs are charging £3 or more for a pint this is meaningless. I also noticed that the day after the chancellor announced a freeze on fuel duty, Tesco in Rawtenstall put petrol and diesel up by a penny.
